The Beach Terrace 65th Anniversary Story Contest ("Contest") is sponsored by Beach Terrace ("Sponsor"), located at 2775 Ocean St., Carlsbad, CA 92008.

By participating, entrants agree to these Official Terms & Conditions.

1. Contest Period

The Contest begins on [START DATE] and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Time on August 15, 2026 ("Contest Period"). Entries submitted outside the Contest Period will not be eligible.

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the United States who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees of Beach Terrace, its affiliates, agencies, and immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Void where prohibited by law.

3. How to Enter

Entrants may submit:

  • A written story or memory about a past stay at Beach Terrace; and
  • Photos or videos related to their experience.

Entries may be submitted either:

  • Via Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #BTCelebrate65 and tagging @BeachTerraceInn; or
  • Through the official submission form located at [WEBSITE URL].

Limit one (1) entry per household unless otherwise specified.

By submitting an entry, participants confirm they own or have permission to use all submitted content and images.

4. Judging & Winner Selection

Winners will be selected by a panel of Beach Terrace representatives based on subjective criteria, including but not limited to:

  • Creativity
  • Originality
  • Emotional impact
  • Connection to Beach Terrace's history and community

Decisions are final and binding.

Two (2) winners will be selected on or about Labor Day 2026.

5. Prize

Each winner will receive:

  • One (1) complimentary three-night stay at Beach Terrace in Carlsbad, California.

Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $[VALUE]

Prize is subject to availability and blackout dates. Blackout dates may include holidays, high-occupancy periods, and special event weekends.

Prize:

  • Must be redeemed within twelve (12) months
  • Is non-transferable
  • Has no cash value
  • Cannot be exchanged or substituted except at Sponsor's discretion

Transportation, meals, incidental charges, and other expenses are not included unless expressly stated.

6. Winner Notification

Potential winners will be contacted via direct message, email, or phone using the information provided at entry.

If a selected winner does not respond within [72 hours / 5 days], Sponsor may select an alternate winner.

7. Content Rights & Usage

By entering, participants grant Beach Terrace a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, publish, display, and share submitted stories, photographs, names, likenesses, and related content for promotional, marketing, advertising, and social media purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Entrants represent that:

  • Their submission is original
  • They own the rights to all submitted materials
  • Submitted content does not infringe upon any third-party rights

8. Release of Liability

By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Beach Terrace and its affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives from any liability, claims, damages, or losses arising out of participation in the Contest or acceptance/use of any prize.

Sponsor is not responsible for:

  • Lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries
  • Technical malfunctions
  • Unauthorized intervention or fraud
  • Platform outages or errors

9. Social Media Disclaimer

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, or Meta.

By participating, entrants release Instagram, Facebook, and Meta from any responsibility related to the Contest.

10. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest.

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or violates these Terms & Conditions.

11. Privacy
